Cody

Cody is a 23 year old blue and gold macaw, looking for her next Phoenix Landing family. She's charming, friendly, interactive, and wants to be part of the family. Of course you need to build trust first. She likes to wave and say hello, loves a good dance party. She says "Pop Pop", "Hello Bird" and "Mom." Sometimes she calls for Pepper, probably someone from her past. She has 2 front toes that go inwards a bit, so her cage has to be set up with "a highway of perches" to help her get around more easily. Loves her Zupreem natural pellets and is working on her fresh foods like carrots and bananas. Before we can discuss a specific bird with you, we ask that you follow our adoption process. Some birds are in foster homes that may adopt them, many other birds are waiting for our help and are not yet posted in PetFinders. The adoption coordinator in your area will work with you to find the best home for each bird, and a species and personality that works best for your family too. We want to set everyone up for success, especially our parrots. To get started, the adoption process includes completing our parrot match application and attending one of our core classes. We do not ship birds. However, everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us for our online events. Parrots are unique and they deserve us to be informed caretakers.
