AJ, joined us back in July 2020 after being abandoned in a feral colony on a property soon to be sold. Our friend and care-taker of the colony, realized he was the furthest thing from feral and scooped him up. In honor of our boy Abner, who arrived to us under similar circumstances, we arranged for his transport from Greensboro NC to join us here at the Head Butt Hotel. He's a bit leery of the other cats, a reminder of his days in the feral colony perhaps. He would be a prime candidate to be in a single cat family home to be spoiled rotten. We are a "Protect the Pets" rescue with established nutritional protocols for our obligate carnivorous cats. We mandate responsible vaccination protocols and titer testing with Kansas State Veterinary Lab, in order to provide continuous protection and compliancy with the Rabies Control Act of South Carolina Rabies Statute Section 47-5-60. Please ensure your vet recognizes titers and is willing to offer affordable titer testing versus blindly overdosing pets with unnecessary vaccinations which contribute to the 50% national cancer rates being newly diagnosed annually in 10 million companion animals. The health of our pets is our main priority, and we require our nutritional and vaccination protocols be maintained. We will not allow our pets to be subjected to even a second unnecessary vaccination overdose, when checking titers can easily be incorporated into annual wellness exams for our animals.
