When we share time with Amber, giving full body pets, it's almost unfathomable to believe this is the same cat we met in December. Amber arrived emaciated and injured. An X-ray revealed a broken hip and there was also a wound on her foot that needed attention. Our medical team, along with one of our partnering veterinarians, were able to provide Amber with the care she needed. And with that, this stunning cat is now ready to bid us adieu.
Amber does just fine around other cats and she does really enjoy human interaction. She has made her home base at Cat Welfare in a staff-only room of the shelter. Please note that any staff member will gladly show you to Amber so you can meet her in her relaxed environment.
And here's a fun fact:
- Irish folklore believes calicos can cure warts by rubbing their fur up against them, but only in the month of May !
