Ariel is not just a beautiful cat. She's also unique!
She has a small black "beard" and a short tail, and she looks very similar to a Japanese Bobtail, even though that breed isn't reflected in her DNA report. She's half American Domestic Cat with lower percentages of Norwegian Forest Cat, Highlander, Scottish Fold, and Siamese/Oriental Cat.
At three years old, Ariel isn't a kitten any more, but she's still energetic, curious, and playful. She's also very affectionate. She loves to cuddle in her foster mom's lap.
Ariel was rescued with her sister, Abby, when she was 10 weeks old, and they're currently living with two other cats. Ariel gets along with everyone. She would do very well as a companion for a cat (or cats) already in the adopter's home.
The HPC adoption process involves a foster period (to ensure a good "fit") before the adoption is finalized. Since HPC visits the home during that time, potential adopters need to be in the Bradenton/Sarasota (Florida) area.
