Ash

Special plea for a very sweet timid scared young adult kitty. His name is Ash. He was rescued last year at the beginning of winter. It's been a year and we have made tremendous progress but his fear is still much to lug for such a beautiful soul. Ash survived death, he had the frostbite in his ear, all feet, and tail. He's also FIV positive. All this is on top of an upper respiratory infection, flea infestation, parasites, and ear mite infestation causing a bad ear infection. He then was just 6 pounds, today he's massive, over 11 pounds. He loves to eat, enjoys toys, is very well litter box trained and besides his deformed right ear you would never known his life at one point was on death's door. Ash is fully vetted and neutered and does allow touch sometimes. I believe he has the potential to be someone's indoor pet. He can never survive outdoors. On his first try even with someone feeding him he just couldn't handle being an outdoor kitty. So making him a community cat is not an option. He loves other cats and talks to me when he wants attention. His favorite time is when I'm cleaning the kitchen preparing the kitty's wet food and he watches me with his beautiful yellow eyes. Waiting for his wet food ever so patiently. He wants to be loved and with patience, he will allow it. He just needs time. I'm looking for a safe loving patient cat savvy, home that can accommodate him and offer him a forever-safe home. He is a very beautiful boy with a heart of gold. I know cats are a dime a dozen and most cat lovers prefer a kitten over an adult kitty or a more social kitty but hear me out. He will make a great kitty buddy for your current kitty if anything else, you're giving a home to a cat that has everything against him.
