Since the World Cup had just started, the foster parents named the litter the FIFAs and gave the kittens soccer-related names. Bafana was named after the nickname of the South African team. The biggest and most vocal of the five FIFAs, Bafana loves to play with all of his siblings, nuzzle with his peeps when he gets tired, and remind them loudly when it's time for dinner.
You can read more about Bafana's adventures in foster care at 50kittens.com.

Can't adopt but want to help? Please contact Tina to find out about sponsorship, fostering, and other ways you can help this cat! Please note that financial sponsorship will be applied to the specific cat you indicate unless it is not needed, at which time we will let you designate it for another HT animal of your choice.
You can save animals like Bafana by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering animals.
