She is a beautiful FIV-positive calico that was rescued with her litter of kittens from a shelter in southern Illinois where they were scheduled to be euthanized. To save their lives, they were transported north to NAWS and placed in a foster home. All of her kittens have been adopted, but Barbarella still waits for her happy ending. She deserves a loving forever home too. Her foster stated that she is very sweet but shy. She mostly keeps to herself - we think she would make a perfect “roommate” kitty. Barbarella will need an adopter that will give her time to trust and feel comfortable - she will hide if she is nervous. Once she feels safe and is trusting, she will enjoys pets, purr and sometimes roll for belly rubs. She is food motivated which will help in earning her trust. She would be grateful for a quieter home and is waiting for that special person to share the rest of her life with. Barbarella is FIV positive - she would need to live as the only cat in a home, live with other FIV positive cats, or possibly live with other non-aggressive cats in her forever home.
