Barbie is a beautiful 2-year old female kitty who originally came to HSOV on August 6, 2023 after she was found on Vickers Road in the Marietta Ohio area. Though Barbie was one-year old, she was a tiny frail kitty who weighed just 4.6 lbs and was desperately in need of extra TLC.
Barbie has an orange-and-white short smooth coat in a spotted tabby pattern, a long ringed tail, and an adorable face with mesmerizing pale golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers.
This little sweetheart was given vaccinations, Pyrantel wormer, and flea treatment on August 29, 2023. She was given booster vaccines on September 19th and October 3rd 2023.
Barbie blossomed in appearance and her sweet personality emerged thanks to the loving care of our amazing HSOV Kennel Techs .. And thanks to the gourmet meals that they prepared for her, Barbie gained some much-needed weight (and the texture of her coat became soft as fine cashmere).
We had taken updated glamour photos of Barbie on October 8, 2023 while Barbie waltzed around our 'studio' and gave us her best Cat Fancy Magazine poses. This little lovebug head-butted our photographer for extra attention and melted her heart. It melted our hearts to see just how far Barbie had progressed since hat day she came to the HSOV in August 2023 as a tiny frail kitty.
Barbie was spayed on October 10, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 7.4 lbs that day.
Barbie was adopted February 2, 2024, and we were thrilled that Barbie had found her dream home ... But our hearts were broken when a kind individual brought Barbie back to our shelter on July 6, 2024 after she had been abandoned in a rental property. Barbie was accompanied by another female kitty (Chanel) who had been found with her .. So we hope that Barbie and Chanel might find their forever dream home together since they have surely been soulmates and faced tough times together.
