Meet Bella! This beautiful 4-year old is ready for a family to call her own! Bella came to us as a surrender and had a very difficult time adjusting to this huge sudden change in her life. She was depressed, scared and didn't trust any of the volunteers that tried to assure her that she was loved and that everything would be okay. Fast forward several months, we now have a playful, social smarty pants that loves to greet each of us as we enter the Cat Room. Bella watches everything and we are convinced that she enjoys all the gossip that goes on in the Adoption Center. She loves treats of all kinds, lounges on her back in the middle of the floor, loves chasing balls and interacting with people. However, she does not love being petted. She will tolerate a couple of pets but then has had enough of that and will give a quick swat to let you know she is done. She wants to call the shots in her relationships. She is very affectionate on her terms. She loves rubbing against everyone's legs, will sit close by, is truly a great companion if you don't require a lot of constant physical contact. Bella is looking for someone that will love her when she is joyful and playing "fetch" and when she is overwhelmed and simply wants to sit on the couch and be near you.
