Meet Benedict, a 2 year old gentleman who is the most handsome of the handsomes! Previously an outdoor kitty, Benedict has been learning the ropes of indoor life and is enjoying endless meals, a soft place to sleep and the safety of his foster home. He is looking for a patient adopter who will give him the time and cozy, safe space he needs to settle in. Benedict has never had the indoor luxuries in all his 2 years, and is understandably reserved and slow to warm up. He is beginning to come around, and showing his laid back side of a kitty who is happy to get pets. So far he has shown us that he enjoys sun beams, bird watching and napping- all while no one is looking, of course. About Ten Lives: Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered.We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
