Benedict

Benedict is a very sweet soul, his eyes tell a story. He is soft-hearted, kind and gentle. He LOVES the highest basket on the kitty tree, if I ever need to find him, he is there napping. The moment you pick him up, he purrs, and doesn't stop- He loves, love. He also knows his name, which is the cutest thing. You call him, and he comes running. He spends his days napping, play fighting with his sister and foster sister, and chowing down - Benedict loves breakfast, lunch, dinner (and treats). He has grown up with two small dogs and playing with other kitties. Benedict is special. He is definitely a rare find. I call him my brave boy. He was so scared and timid when he arrived. He is now constantly by my side, playing and exploring the world, He is a laid-back, cute, funny guy full of gentle personality. He will thrive in a home with a schedule, consistency, and lots of love from humans and other animals. Benedict would love to be adopted with his sister Florentine. Currently in foster care in Costa Mesa. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline overpopulation crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
