Bessie - aka Momma Kitty

Bessie (aka “Momma Kitty”) is a formerly-feral barn cat who we are working on socializing. She was found with her newborn babies in the back of a Ford Expedition on Cinco de Mayo. We have since adopted out all of her kittens, so now it is Momma’s turn! Initially, we had planned to release Bessie into our feral colony, but she is so food motivated that we have been able to teach her that not all humans are bad! She hates being cold, so a life solely outside is not a life for her. Bessie will require someone with kindness and patience. Once she knows and trusts someone, she will accept pets while she is snacking on canned food or treats. She’s come so far in the time that we have had her that we’re excited to see what her future holds. She also loves to play with wand toys! She does great with our Alpha male cat that she shares our “catio” with, so other cats and dogs should be fine. Momma Kitty is spayed and vaccinated against rabies. She is negative for FIV and FeLV. Her adoption fee is $75.
