Birkenstock

This little lady is Birkenstock! She has the softest fur you'll ever feel. As a kitten, Birkenstock was trapped with her five siblings by a local TNR group. They came in extremely under-socialized and needed plenty of human interaction to warm up to people. As a result, she can still be wary with strangers and doesn't like being held. Her initial flightiness has caused her to get overlooked. She loves getting pets, however, and is extremely treat-motivated which makes it easy to win her over. She just needs a little extra time to trust people. Birk is a calm, peaceful girl who doesn't cause drama with the other cats in the cat room. She's been here a long time, and we really want to see her go to a good home, maybe even with her sister, Timberland. We don't know how she'd do with dogs. Birkenstock has done well with the children who've come to visit. However, since she doesn't really like being picked up, future adopters should keep in mind that this may be a boundary any children in the family will have to respect.
