Black Hawk

Hello, I'm Black Hawk, a mature DLH black tabby male born around April 22, 2017. My life before Wild Blue had been quite sheltered, surrounded by many other cats in a small 1-BDRM apartment, with not much human interaction. Because of this, I can be quite timid and easily startled in new situations. I was recently shaved to relieve some uncomfortable matting, so I might look a bit less fluffy than usual, but I'm still just as handsome, and my fur will soon be lush again. Though I am sweet and gentle at heart, my shyness around new human friends means I need a bit of extra time and patience to warm up. I do best with slow introductions, allowing me to feel safe and secure as I adjust to new environments and people. I am slowly coming out of my shell allowing gentle pets and brushing. My comfort with touch is slowly increasing. I'm looking for a home with an experienced cat owner who understands the quiet time and gentle approach needed to build trust with a cat like me. I think kids and dogs might be too much excitement for me at this time.
