https://foha.org/pet/blaze2024/ Meet Blaze Hey there! I'm Blaze, a chatty and playful orange kitten who's looking for the right family with my brother, Spark. I can be a bit slow to warm up to new people and new things, but am curious and resilient. Once I trust you, I'll show you lots of affection-in between my playtime and nap time, of course. Before I got my official name, my first foster mom called me Chirp because I was the chattiest of my siblings. I love to talk and let everyone know what's on my mind. I'm also the definition of an orange cat personality-silly, a little spunky, very playful, get the crazy zoomies all the time, and highly entertaining. I thought I had found my forever home with my brother, Spark. It turns out that they had allergies they weren't aware of and we found ourselves back with FOHA and with a new foster family. We like to be near each other and really help each other out, and of course love to play together. While I'm sleek and lean like a spotted orange panther, Spark is a soft fluff ball who's sweet like a creamsicle. We balance each other out and Spark and I really need to stay together so we can continue to bring out the best in each other. You get the best of everything with us! Since my siblings and I were pretty much feral when we were rescued, my future family needs to be patient and understand that it might take me a while to fully come around to human affection. We're doing great now and our current foster mom knows the tricks to win us over. I'll need to start in a smaller room or space as I get to know my new family and continue to gain trust and confidence. Due to being nervous of new people and new environments (and sounds), I may need extra time adjusting if my brother and I go to a family with young children. But trust me, as you work with me, you'll see my confidence grow and will be filled with laughter watching all my antics. I LOVE to play, especially with ball toys and those wand things. While I appreciate interactive playtime, I'm also fine keeping myself busy on my own with toys and exploring. I enjoy being high up, like in a cat tree, and down low, maybe in a kitty hut or under some furniture. But, if you hang out with me, you can bet I'll come over for some gentle head butts, rubs, and pets. I've even learned that it's okay being picked up for a quick snuggle! And, I definitely like treats. I also like to observe you and am a quick learner (I now know the sound of my favorite treat bag!).
