Bonnie was rescued by UCCR volunteers after being discovered with dozens of other cats that were kept in kennels inside of a U-Haul in Union Gap, WA.
Undoubtedly, all of the cats were terrified and it appeared they had been living inside of the U-Haul for awhile. Our volunteers have been keeping Bonnie healthy after her traumatic event, but due to her trauma she is unsure how and who to trust after what she suffered. Bonnie will let you pick her up and hold her and is more submissive than many cats. She needs a slow and gentle pet parent to help her realize that there are good and affectionate humans that will love her. Bonnie can be a lap cat that anyone would adore stroking her soft and silly coat.
If you’re interested in meeting Bonnie, please submit an inquiry through PetFinder with questions or to schedule a time to meet, or, visit our website at uccryakima.org (http://uccryakima.org/) and click on "adoption application".
Please remember that rescue cats have a past and will need someone to be patient and kind with them as they settle in to their new home. Patience is a requirement to help these cats rebuild trust with humans, and they must remain indoors. We would be more than happy to help educate and provide advice through the rehoming process.
