My Story
Bubba's story is a twisted one. Given away to a teenager via social media, the teen gifted him to his mother for Mother's Day, who dropped him off the very same day. SPR stepped in and got him vetted, neutered, and into a wonderful foster home where he quickly found an adoptive home. Sadly, the dynamic in the adoptive home wasn't quite right for Bubba, and while he loved the adult female and older child in the home, he was spicy with the youngest child and adult male. They made the difficult choice to return him so that he can find a home that is just right for him!
Since returning to our care, Bubba has been a perfect gentleman. He is very sweet and confident, and quickly took ownership of his space without any hiding or scared behaviors. He's very social and affectionate, but can get overstimulated when petting sessions last a little long, so is best for cat-savvy adopters who can read his queues. He is very people oriented, and loves to be near his person(s), often resting one paw against their lap.
Bubba is fostered locally and is ready to find that perfect fit! Because of the nature of his return, we think he'd do best in a home without young children. Bubba has not been fostered with other cats, and was afraid of the dogs in his previous foster home, so might do best as a one and only fur baby!
A kitten is the delight of a household. All day long a comedy is played out by an incomparable actor. Champfleury
Everybody loves kittens, and it's not hard to see why! Bringing home a kitten (or two!) means your home is about to be 1000% more adorable. Because kittens are much happier with a feline friend, we only adopt kittens who are under 4 months old out in pairs, or to families who already have a resident friendly cat playmate. If you are looking for a solo cat, please consider one of our friendly available older kittens, teens or adults!
All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
