My Story

When Buddy lost his cat companion, he was heartbroken. But life had a surprise in store for him - a friendly stray cat named Mr. Henry. With his regal swagger and charming personality, Henry quickly won over everyone's hearts and became Buddy's new best friend. Brothers for the last 7 years, they love to cuddle, play, and even wrestle like brothers. They've been through thick and thin together and rely on each other for comfort and companionship. Now, because of a cross country move, Buddy and Henry are looking for a new place to call home. Ideally they can find a loving family that understands their bond. If you're looking for double the love and fun, Buddy and Henry are your guys. They're guaranteed to bring laughter and joy into your life with their playful antics and affectionate personalities. Plus, they'll always be there to keep each other company, so you'll never have to worry about them feeling lonely. Named Abner at birth, his nickname quickly shifted to "Buddy because of how much of a buddy he is to people, always wanting to hang out with humans, especially on laps and give kitty paw massages. He often likes to sit in the office on my desk while I work and does really well with other cats, dogs, and little children. We joke of him being a dog in a cat's body. He is coming from a household with a 2 year old and a newborn and he's been tugged and jumped on and doesn't hurt the kids. He has friendly horseplay with a 15 pound maltese dog every day and does not scratch or bite him either. He has a cat "brother" named Henry, they've lived together for the last 7 years and are friendly. In your bedroom he sleeps well at the edge of the bed as well as sleeping well in a separate room if you're not into the cosleeping. He is litter box trained and does #1 well, but will #2 right next to the litter box (within a foot away), but sometimes he does it directly inside. He's been tested for digestive issues and is clear of that. New owners should be aware to accept the #2 issue or spend time behaviorally training him. It personally hasn't bothered us, just a note for his otherwise perfect personality. He's a bubble of joy, initially very shy to new people, but warms up after things calm down and will immediately jump on your lap if sitting down. All in all he is one of the best cats you could ever ask for. We are rehoming him because we have expanded our family with small children and are unable to give the cats the love or attention they deserve. We love and care for him deeply and hope he finds a new home where the family can give him the love and attention he deserves.
