Burger

What my friends at ACC say about me: Burger was curious inquisitive at the front of the kennel, standing tall and very treat motivated, jumping up on to the shelf for treats, and allowed all petting giving gentle head bunts with a partly raised tail. He was reasonably tolerant of being picked up, struggling slightly to get away but not upset or aggressive. He is a sweet, high energy cat . We will update his assessment if we can get him neutered in the near future. Due to prior owner history (see separate notes) and a bite/scratch history we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced cat parent home. I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me. A volunteer writes: Burger has a note on his condo that says he doesn't like to be bored, so I came prepared. With a toy mouse, a pipe cleaner feather, and some treats in hand, I opened Burger's condo door ready to entertain! Burger has great manners and when he first saw me, all he wanted were cuddles. Lots and lots of cuddles! Burger happily nuzzled himself into my arms, extended his fuzzy paws into kneads, and gently leaned his perfect cheeks on my hands. Ok, so cuddles first, playtime later. After his hello headbutts, I tossed him the toy mouse and Burger was completely and adorably delighted. Holding it in his paws and tossing it elsewhere, only to pounce on it to begin again, Burger is a smart and active young cat who enjoys a good game of thoughtful playtime. He's a terrifically engaging and engaged guy, so puzzle feeders and cat wands are probably right up his alley. Burger is hoping to find a family who understands the importance of playtime for busy cats and we know they're out there for this lovely guy.
