Cassie or Cassaroll (roll the r) as I call her is such a sweet and special girl. She entered the Rescue in April 2021 and due to no fault of her own was placed in an unsuitable foster home. She was again rescued in July of 2023 with a severe flea, mite and lice infestation and was labelled feral. She received urgent medical care and has made a full recovery. Very quickly I determined she was not feral just in pain and terrified. After months of some hard work and patience she allowed me to pick her up and snuggle her and eventually began to purr. She is a comfort cat to other cats on the rescue, the others are drawn to her and snuggle in. Recently she has been roomed with some kittens and has taken to bathing and snuggling with them also. She will be happy and safe here at the rescue until the perfect home is found for her. It is likely she will need to be adopted along with one of our other familiar cats.
