Chai was part of a litter with two other kittens. Their momma is feral and was fostered with her newborns until the kittens were weaned. Chai's mom was returned to the original property after she had been spayed and vetted
Chai stayed with her foster parent because a heart murmur had been detected when she was young and the foster needed to monitor if Chai would "outgrow" the murmur as many kittens often do. The low grade level 2/3 heart murmur appears to be a permanent condition. At this time, Chai demonstrates normal kitten behavior and activity. No specialized testing has been conducted for the murmur.
Chai and Nala are bonded. These girls have calico attitude because of their breathtaking looks. Sweet Chai LOVES wet cat food and holds out for it by rarely eating dry kibble. She'll happily greet you meowing her thanks at mealtime.
