Chance & Copper

Chance (3-year-old female) and Copper (2-year-old male) were both brought to MWHS by a local Animal Control officer. When they first arrived, they weren't very comfortable with humans, but have made a lot of progress. Copper is the more social of the two, especially with other cats. He is like the big brother to everyone (or a big stalker, as he considers all his cat companions to be pillows). He really loves food and treats, and has actually put on some weight, which has caused him to be on a weight control diet. Thankfully, he loves to play, run, and jump a lot, so he will need a family that can give him the playtime he loves and needs to stay healthy. He loves to be petted, especially when he is comfortable in a bed, and he will even enjoy having his belly rubbed. Chance is more shy, but with time and patience, she will warm up to you. She absolutely loves Copper and loves to snuggle with him (even if sometimes he tries to suffocate her with love). She is also more comfortable when she is in her cat bed and can relax. Chance loves to play, especially with laser pointers and with you. She is learning from Copper how to be around humans and has made great progress at the shelter. She now wants to have her very own home with her best friend Copper. Chance and Copper will need a quiet home with adults only. They are good with other cats but have never met dogs. They will both need time to adjust to their new environment and an adopter/family that will know how to make them comfortable and continue their process of learning to be confident, loving cats. As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only.
