Charlie

Charlie has come so far since first arriving. He has developed a silly, yet independent personality where he enjoys playing with your fingers but also will want some space when he feels "over touched". He would do best in a quieter household that will have patience with him as he adjusts to a new area. He does have a medical issue that will need monitored but he has gotten used to his medicine and handles it like a champ. Charlie arrived with a very swollen, inflamed anus; after looking thru previous vet notes from his owner it appears to be a condition he has always had. He did get two surgeries while here and has been maintained on a constant dose of steroid to keep the inflammation down. He has improved greatly, is much more comfortable and able to maintain appropriate bathroom care. He will most likely need to stay on his steroid medicine for life and adopters will need to be aware that he may have flair ups over the years that will require vet care.
