My Story

Sweet courteous gentleman If Community Chest were a human, he'd be everyone's idea of the perfect Grandpa! He's a calm, friendly, sweet little old man who just wants to be everyone's friend and cuddle buddy. He likes to tell you all about his day, and he'll crack you up with his old-man snoring! He may have spent quite a few years on the streets so he was rather scruffy when he first came to us. But we've removed some painful teeth, he's on meds to fix a few other issues, and he is ever so grateful to be feeling good again! He's especially grateful to be living the good life in a foster home where he gets all the treats, pets and cuddles he craves! Now all he needs is a true forever home where he can be pampered and adored for the rest of his life. Then he would truly be over the moon! He will still play occasionally if you initiate a play session, but he'd rather cuddle and make biscuits. He absolutely loves belly rubs and head scratches! He's great with other cats, too! He makes it clear that he has no interest in having any disagreements with them, and that he would much rather just cuddle with them. Community Chest would thrive in a calmer, easy-going home where someone is home much of the time. He'd appreciate having a feline friend, too. Community Chest has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. He can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Community Chest, please email [email protected].
