Ebony

This lovely little Havana brown mix was abandoned and left outdoors by renters when they moved out. She soon became pregnant because the owners who abandoned her also failed to get her spayed. Abandoned and alone, poor little Ebony was forced to have her kittens under a porch across the street. But kind neighbors found her and her little family and took them in. Ebony was able to raise her babies in the safety of a foster home until the kittens were big enough to come to the CAT shelter. Now that her kittens are ready to start their new lives, Ebony is ready to find her forever home, too.

Apparently, Ebony was able to dictate her thoughts so her foster mom could write them down. Ebony says, "I am a great house cat with good manners. I'm inquisitive and confident and I'll rub your legs and sit close while you read or watch TV. And I talk a lot (not a meow, but a trill) to get your attention. I love when you talk to me quietly and pet me gently."

Her foster mom also says Ebony "is very easy-going, adapted quickly to a new home and new people. She is responsive to people when they talk to her and usually comes when she is called. She can be very playful and she has a lot of love to give."
