Leopard

Can a leopard change her spots? Not on the outside! But change can happen inside. With care and patience, it can happen! I’m a brown/orange “torbie” – tabby/tortoiseshell – female called Leopard. I was one of four “Big Cat” kittens who came to Paws and Claws from another rescue back in early November 2023. My siblings and I are all very timid, and it took a long time for us to feel comfortable around people. My sister Lynx and brother Puma are still here. I was adopted in April and went to live in a nice home. My people were very kind and friendly, but I would only come out at night when they were in bed. They wanted a cuddly lap cat, and I wasn’t ready to snuggle. They decided to give me a little more time, but it wasn’t enough. I was returned to the shelter after three months. Now that I am here again, I am doing well when people approach me. I don’t run away. I let people pet me when I am approached slowly. I was the only cat in the home, and I might do well with the companionship of another cat. Most of all, please know that I need time, lots of time and patience to develop familiarity and trust. Not days. Not weeks. Months. Many months probably. Can you do that for me? For us? I’m a lovely girl. I’m lovable. I am Leopard. Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax
