My foster mom is so sure that I have a lot of Abyssinian in my genes, that she looked them up on the Internet, and sure enough – I look very much (and act) just like them! Of course no one really knows my background as I was found wandering alone when I was very pregnant in late April, was rescued, and sent to have my babies with one of the volunteers here. I am about two years old, spayed, have all my shots, and have the beautiful ticked-fur just like Abys. As described by the Cat Fancier’s Association, “Abys” are “elegant, regal felines with muscular bodies, beautiful arched neck, large ears, and almond shaped eyes…” They are “very people-oriented …not lap cats... but a cat that likes to be with people, a cat that wants to know what you are doing - that wants to help. There is probably no breed anywhere more loyal than the Aby. Once you have acquired an Aby as a companion, you will never be able to complain that no one understands you. Abys are very good at training people to do just what they want them to do." Ok – I’m not a “pure” Aby, but other than that, that pretty much sums me up!
