My Story

Maggie didn't have a great start. She was found in August 2022 as a pretty undersocialized kitten. She was very scared, but she was caught because she needed medical attention. She had two broken back legs and cuterebra. One leg was broken at her "ankle" joint, and the other leg had some serious breaks. Maggie spent a lot of time at the vet, and had numerous procedures done attempting to save her leg from amputation. Fortunately, the final pins worked and everything stayed in place! A year later and she is accepting pets and enjoying humans being around as well as the other kitties. She does well on all four legs and has lots of life left to live. Maggie is a lover, she loves attention, loves pets, and loves to sleep on your bed. She is good with other cats too. Maggie needs a home with no dogs - she does not do well with them. Maggie has been on such a journey, and we are happy to see her be ready to find a forever home. As part of the adoption process, vet references will be checked on past/current pets looking for history of routine exams, DHPP/FDRC and rabies vaccines. Adoption fee is $230.00 + tax (no checks) Foster to contact: Jody @ [email protected] Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about an animals personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
