Hi, my name is Mama Peeps. I am a purrrr machine. I would do anything for food and am very smart. I'd be a great candidate to learn tricks. When my foster Momma first got me from another foster, she would move her finger signaling come here and I would go over to her. I don't like my roommate a lot, another girl kitty. We knew each other in our previous foster home and then we had separate time in two different rooms connected and played under the door, but I still swipe at her from time to time. We co-exist in a big room together now. We don't cuddle or play. I might like a boy cat but can't say for sure. My foster Mom brought her huge hound mix foster dog into my room. He had been raised with kitties from a puppy. As soon as I saw him, I rubbed up against him. So I would probably be okay with cat friendly dogs. My foster Mom has other doggies that don't like kitties, so I don't have the run of the house. Mama Peeps came into the rescue as a pregnant Momma summer 2022. She was under socialized. Probably a young outside kitty someone was feeding. She warmed up to me pretty fast. She never hid from me in the bedroom where she hangs out. She likes wand toys and the cat tree. She's very attentive to you, but especially when you have snacks. She will climb into your lap and lay next to you on a bed. You can pick her up and give her kisses. She doesn't particularly like it but tolerates me doing it. She'd be easy to clicker train and train in cooperative care if you'd be interested in do something like that. That would also help to socialize her more. She will probably never be outgoing to guests in the house because of her start in life. However, she is really sweet and has never scratched or tried to bite me. She's just a bit shy and will need a patient adopter willing to spend the time to develop a relationship with her.We only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area. Our adoption fees: Cats range from $150 to $175. Exotic breeds may be more. Dogs range from $250 to $350. High demand puppies and small dogs may be more. This fee includes: felv/fiv/heartworm testing, worming, flea and ear mite treatments, age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, lab work, dental or other medical or surgical treatments as deemed necessary by our team of veterinarians and a microchip with free registration.
