Maple and her sibling were originally rescued in and brought up from Mexico. Their new mum ended up not being able to keep both of them so the siblings were separated and Maple went to another family member.
Maple is about 7 years old. She was surrendered to Katies Place due to some changes in the home and she “occasionally peed on things”. We haven’t seen evidence of this behaviour at Katies Place and although she was distressed at first upon her arrival, she has managed to settle into life at the shelter and is a lovely cat. She often enjoys watching the other cats and activities from a favourite perch and she’s always ready to receive a pet or two from any human passing by!
As she has lived most of her life as an indoor only single cat, she probably would enjoy that environment again. She was also used to a more adult oriented home but she would be fine with older children too.
