My Story

Marilyn is bonded with Milo and must be adopted together. The adoption fee for the bonded pair has been 100% sponsored. Marilyn is the cute tabby kitten with a Marilyn Monroe-like mole on her nose and is smaller than Milo. She is more stand-offish than her brother Milo but very curious about people and things going on within the house. She is independent and enjoys exploring new areas - usually the first to check things out ahead of Milo. Marilyn is a sock thief and will not hesitate to steal freshly folded socks from the laundry basket to play with. She perches on the back of the couch and sits just off to the side of a person's head and observes. Only when she is comfortable will she strut her stuff along the couch and arch her back asking for pets. She does not enjoy being handled and will need time, consistency, and patience in her new home to get her more familiar and comfortable with the holding process. She likes to be the top cat and will assert herself as leader - due to this, she would do best with just her brother or a submissive friendly cat. Although she will never be a cuddly cat, if given time to settle into her new home, she will become a great kitten/cat and wonderful companion - she will do best in a home with a steady and patient owner, older kids who respect her space, no dog or laid back cat-savvy dog and maybe another friendly cat to continue to help her and her brother Milo come out of their shells
