I was brought to the HSHC as a stray in mid-May. The sad thing is that we all know I have an owner because I have a microchip, but they never answered their phone or email. So, it's no wonder that I felt abandoned. I am a 5-year-old girl with a black and white coat, already spayed and litterbox faithful. But I tended to stay in my Kitty Kasa, behind or under a pillow, because I felt depressed. The interviewer lady (IL) often stopped by my apartment, and I always ignored her. But the other day, she parked herself at my door and extended her finger for me to sniff, and I DID! I let her pet me, scratch my chin, and rub my ears. I couldn't stop the purring that rose from my throat. It was heavenly, being touched and given love. The IL told me I was like a shy little girl in a classroom, afraid to let anyone see her. But once I worked up the courage, I realized there are new opportunities for me with a new person who will love me forever. Even though I may not be the bravest kitty in the room, I am one of the sweetest. The IL told me she loved me and maybe you can too. 7-23-24
