A volunteer writes: Imagine a cookie buffet. Could it fix everything? Probably not. Would it make the day exponentially better? Yes. My friend Mason is likely to agree. Curled up on top of his den and trying to pretend he didn't see me, Mason peeked up at me with an open and friendly face. Then, he seemed to remember where he was and tucked his head back into his little circle loaf. Mason is trying to make sense of the Care Center, but one thing he is very sure of are treats. Mason was delighted to see an impromptu snack buffet and kind of tried to play it cool as he stepped down from his den to check it out. I've also been known to let everything fall to the side for a cookie, so I know how it goes. After snacks, Mason gently leaned his head into my hand for some neck scritches and nuzzles. Mason is a very well loved cat who enjoys playtime, window watching, and even getting belly rubs. We're grateful to see glimpses of his joyful personality, but know he will shine brightest when he finds his forever family.
