She was very thin and covered with fleas, but she was looked after very well for a while and nursed back to health. Unfortunately, the lady wasn't allowed pets so contacted CC4C. Mela has been a very well behaved and sweet girl in her foster home. She is a loving kitten who purrs constantly, and will nudge you for head rubs and pets, and try to sit on your chest while you are trying to read or watch TV. When you pick her up, she will melt into your arms, but when she's had enough of loving and cuddles she will definitely let you know it's time to get off and start playing. She is a really gorgeous kitten with the softest, silkiest fur, but her foster mom thinks she sometimes has an irritated look on her face which is quite comical. She plays well with the other kittens in her foster home, and she particularly loves Carter, a lovely orange and white kitten, and turns from a sweet little angel into a tomboy when she rough houses with him. It would be great if they could be adopted together. Equally, she would be fine as an only kitten if she is given enough attention, preferably in a household where someone is home all day. She is curious about the adult cat in her foster home and would do well with a tolerant adult cat given a slow introduction. She will be a medium to long haired cat, so will need some grooming - she loves to be brushed and is remarkably tolerant of nail trims! Contact Angela at 510-909-6737 or email [email protected]
