My Story

Meet Mia Mia is a sassy and adventurous girl who loves to play and run. Mia starts her morning bright and early. First thing she does is ask for her breakfast and then quickly starts playing with her siblings. She loves chasing her toys/running, wrestling with her brothers/sisters and climbing anything. After playing she goes to her hiding spots to get some sleep (she’s a deep sleeper). She will let you pet her on her own terms, she likes her head rubbed when she’s sleepy or she will nibble and lick when she still wants to play. Mia would thrive with other cats who are just as adventurous and playful as her. Mia needs to be adopted into a household with another playful cat/kitten OR with a sibling - April, Sofi, Archie, or Dexter. Currently in foster care in Inglewood. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. To begin the application process, please fill out our application here: https://form.jotform.com/212117959297062 We will try our best to be in touch within 24-48 hours. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments. Please send us an email at [email protected] to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!
