My Story

Hello, my name is Mickey! My brother, Tango, and I came to Heartland in late May 2024, after ending up at a small, rural animal shelter. Because we resemble our foster Mom's personal cat Winson (Churchill), she named us after two of Sir Winston Churchill's personal cats that he loved. I tend to be a bit more outgoing and confident initially than my brother, so I am usually quick to instantly greet new people and seek out pets. I love to be snuggled and have been known to give my Foster Momma headbonks. I also often make biscuits while I'm being cuddled. Watch out for your fingers and toes though, as I can be a bit of a nibbler while in play mode. Foster Momma says that we also have the longest whiskers that she has ever seen on a kitten (along with the longest ear tufts), so watch out "Guiness Book of World Records", as we might be coming for the current record one day. Based on our size for our age, big paws, and super fluffiness, it's likely that we have a little "Maine Coon" somewhere in our genetics and will possibly be somewhat larger boys (and definitely SUPER POOFY) as adults. My brother and I are considered a *VERY* bonded pair, so it is *REQUIRED* that we go to a furever home *TOGETHER*. Separating us will not be considered under any circumstance. Not only do we like to wrestle and play together, but we also like to cuddle up together for a nap (see photo evidence). Often when we are walking side by side, our tails will even cross over each other and intertwine. Foster Momma says that its the cutest and sweetest thing that she's ever seen. We also get along well with other friendly cats and would likely be okay with smaller, friendly, calm dogs.As of July 13th, we are at Whisker Station Cat Cafe in Kirkwood MO, and my brother Tango gets a bit overwhelmed by small children. Thus, a home without very young children would be the best fit for us. We are up to date on all of our vetting and ready to find our furever home together, and one that is ready to give us ALL of the cuddles!
