My Story

Mimi, a young mother to four adorable kittens, caught our attention with her intelligence, health, and affectionate nature. Her standout qualities earned her five bonus tickets to our rescue when our coordinator visited the shelter to pick up another cat. In a charming photo, Mimi proudly displays her post-spay temporary reverse leg warmers, showcasing her playful side. As a young stray mother, Mimi's personality is a delightful mix of curiosity and maternal instinct. She loves to explore high places and cozy nooks, from the top of your closet to a plush bed or even an unexpected printer! Despite her playful demeanor, Mimi takes her role as a mother seriously and is fiercely protective of her food and kittens around other animals. Now that her kittens have grown, Mimi has transitioned to a new foster family, where she's learning to embrace her independence. We've reassured her with plenty of food and a safe environment, and she's adjusting well alongside the resident cat. Mimi's affectionate nature shines through in her interactions with humans. She enjoys gentle pets and cuddles, and her soft meows are music to our ears. While she's not overly clingy, Mimi loves to be near her human companions and will check in with them regularly to offer love and reassurance. This cat's adoption fee is $150. ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.
