Meet Mimi! Mimi is a gorgeous black kitty with tiny specks of white on her chest. She is less than one year old, only around 8-9 months old according to the vet. She was rescued from the streets of Hollywood where she grew up, however, she was likely someone's previously pet at some point, maybe when she was a very young kitten, who was abandoned because she is just way too sweet/loving towards humans. She appreciates every time you pet her & every look you give her. She loves to be involved with you & interact with you. She is extremely intelligent. Mimi has not had any negative reaction to other cats & seems to be indifferent about their existence. She would likely do fine with older calm children or even an older calm dog. She is looking for a home that allows her to lounge around and live a comfy cozy life as she so deserves after her rough time on the streets. Could you be Mimi's forever family?! All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
