How can your heart not go out to this lovely girl, especially after all she's been through yet is still ready to accept love from people? When Miss Cassidy was rescued in Queens, she had a badly infected eye which needed to be removed (the sad but not uncommon result of untreated eye infections that homeless cats suffer.) Maintaining a healthy diet and good teeth is another near impossibility for homeless cats, and Miss C had to have all her teeth removed. But, with great vet care and devoted fosterers, Miss C is well on her way to complete recovery. And this beautiful girl, about 3 years old, is not the least bit "diminished" by missing one eye and all teeth! Miss C is a lovely cat, who can be cautious at first, but as she gets to know you, she becomes increasingly self-confident. With that confidence, she blossoms. At first, she didn't even know how to play and was actually afraid of toys, but, in time, she was batting her toys around and discovering the joys of having FUN! Likewise, initially inclined to stay in her "safe spot" under a couch, it does not take too long for her affectionate nature to emerge and for her to show a keen interest in being petted. She'll purr wildly in pure delight! She's a gentle cat, with a very sweet disposition. She would do best in a calm home, without children or other animals, so that she can be the sole object of your affection and the only one wanting to snuggle with her human!
