THE MARVELOUS MISS STOCKING DOB 4/15/22 Meow! Meow, everyone! I'm very, very sweet, friendly, and curious Missy Longstocking, a sleek, elegant harlequin gal with big jade-globe eyes and who's mostly white with large patches of dark gray. Foster Meowmy named me "Longstocking" because I'm tall with graceful legs that look to be wearing gray stockings. Meowmy is amazed that I don't have one ounce of "catitiude," and I heard her exclaiming that I'm the most docile cat she's ever met. Although I'm not a big fan of being picked up, I happily curl up in Foster Meowmy's lap and turn on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot. We then enjoy prime-time together as she gently brushes me or offers me squeezable treats. But I'm no couch potato! No siree! I adore interactive play as Foster Meowmy waves the fishing-wand toy over my head because I can show off my acrobatic prowess as I lunge and pounce on my "prey." I have quite a dangerous backstory. A Good Samaritan was driving down Beltway 8 when she spotted me, partially inside a bag, as I huddled in the median. Thank heavens that she's not scared of much, so she pulled over and quickly grabbed me as cars whizzed by. When we got home, she saw that I was a little bruised, nicked, and scraped as well as very traumatized but overall healthy and uninjured. I tolerate the other cats in my foster home, but I definitely don't love them. I haven't been around kids, but I was fine around a small, polite dog. Since I'm friendly and well-adjusted, I might be very compatible with well-behaved children and cat-friendly dogs.
