Mr. Dottie

My foster writes: With just a tiny bit of patience, Mr. Dottie shows his true colors - he's a sweet, playful boy who loves snuggles almost as much as he loves toys and other cats (and that's a LOT). He will chase a ball around for hours, goes wild over feather toys (showing off some very impressive jumps!), and is also a top-notch housefly catcher. He'll plunk down next to you like a sack of potatoes and start his very quiet purr motor, but doesn't tend to stay long.. which is nice for accomplishing things. He grew up in a home with 17 cats, and just adores other cats. He follows mine around, dying to nap together, but alas, she's an independent lady. He would absolutely be in heaven in a home with a friendly cat. He met a small dog and was initially shy, then just fine. Because of his upbringing, it seems like many things he's experiencing are brand new, but he takes everything in stride and warms up in no time. He's steadily gaining weight after significant dental surgery, and though still slim, he's enjoying his meals with newfound gusto. He is truly a special boy with the sweetest face and most precious little meow. Mr. Dottie tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
