Muneco

A volunteer writes: Muneco is a young ginger tabby who caught my eyes(orange cats always take the spotlight) as he was spread like a king at the back of his bedroom. He looked so gorgeous and peaceful. Muneco was up in a flash as I openedhis door and joined me in the open of his kennel. He head bunted me vigorously, purred, disappeared in his lower cubby to reemerge for more in depth petting. He did his little dance but as a curious, attention seeking and people loving kitty, he decided to stick with me(see video). The ice was broken, we were friends. We were told that Muneco is initially reserved with strangers but when he knows you, he transformsinto a friendly and outgoing feline This is exactly what I saw when I met Muneco. Muneco is visually impaired although he clearly does have vision in both eyes that appear cloudy. He likely will need care in the future for that particular condition that does not seem to bother him at the moment but he needs newowners prepared to care for a cat with a disability. I lived with children in my previous home. What my friends at ACC say about me: Muneco tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He will likely need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.
