My Story

Frederick MD: Mytzi is a 3.5 year old, spayed, fully vaccinated, and FIV/FELV negative indoor/outdoor orange gal looking for a new home through no fault of her own. Mytzi is a very talkative, loving, girl, who likes company, but has no clue how to play. String. No. Laser light. No. Wand. No – well, maybe for a minute, but she has more interest in the wand stick than the item at the end of the string. She does, however, LOVE bringing you gifts, specifically mice! She is an indoor/ outdoor girl who likes to go hunting and loves nothing more than showing off her beautiful colors by lying in the sun. Mytzi is also house trained with a litter box but prefers to go outside. She is used to using a cat flap, and of course if you are ever on a Zoom call, you can expect her to want to be part of it. Mytzi likes a very set routine – she is a night owl, and during the day enjoys her sleep from around 8am-3pm. She likes to be fed half a can of wet food at 5pm, and the other half around 5am. She also has a bowl of Costco adult cat kibble which is always available to her as she only eats when hungry, and is a perfect weight, so I can leave her food out without worrying. She has lived with another cat, and although they did not particularly like each other, she does get on with other cats as I see her with another ginger friend in the neighborhood. She has never lived with a dog, but I suspect it would be ok. My neighbor has a dog who is good with cats, and other than fluffing up at him if he suddenly runs outside, she does not seem to mind him. She has not lived with children, but is fine being picked up and petted, and I would suspect that as long as they are not rough with her, she will be fine. However, she is not a big fan of being stroked on her back, and will give a warning once she feels she has had enough, but you can scratch her head and neck as long as you want. While she will roll onto her back and stretch inviting a tummy scratch, I am not convinced. If interested in Mytzi , please email us here on Petfinder or at [email protected] for an application or with any questions.
