Papaya

Meet Papaya! Papaya came to us as a friendly stray. He had decided he had enough of the outdoor cat life and wanted to be an indoor boy for the rest of his days. He was friendly from the outset, accepting pets the day he came in, even though he was scared and stressed in a new environment. Papaya is a laidback, low-maintenance boy. He's just as happy to be inside his kennel as out of it. He is quiet, and keeps to himself around other cats, though he's not aggressive with them. He enjoys human attention, but is patient and will wait for his opening before asking for it. Papaya is good about waiting his turn and letting the other kitties have their time in the sun. He enjoys running after toys, but won't compete for them. He prefers to pick a spot and plop down, normally somewhere up high or near the water fountains, and let things come to him. Papaya would be great for a calm household looking for a buddy to chill with. Papaya isn't interested in other cats, but can co-exist with them. We think he would tolerate older kids. He has not been tested with dogs. Papaya is estimated to be 3 years old as of July 2024. He will be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption.
