My Story

Peeps: a loyal security guard Peeps was a stray that would visit a local feeding station regularly, and would visit the feeder's home through a ground floor window, a peeping tom if you will, hence the name. One day when he came to visit with a big nasty wound on his neck. Fitchburg Friends brought him into the vet where he was treated and ordered to complete a quarantine. That feeder is now his foster and has discovered that he is the biggest love bug. He follows her around asking for pets by meowing at her and rubbing up against her legs. He is very friendly and will greet anyone who comes into the home but does not like when anyone peeps in through the windows, go figure! He will hiss and meow to alert of a “potential intruder” much like a guard dog. if he is in a particularly cuddly mood he will seek you out and lay on your lap, but beware this 14lb chonk of love. his foster gives him a pinch of catnip every night so when it’s time he will go to his designated chair and wait for his nightcap. Peeps would do best in a home that is able to provide him with plenty of playtime as he still has some kitten energy at three. He will likely bond very strongly with whomever he chooses as his primary human and be their personal escort. His potential adopter must also be comfortable with a vocal cat as he likes to express himself and converse with his humans. Due to his wound of unknown origin, the state of MA requires a quarantine period of four months, which is up in September. Fitchburg Friends of Felines facilitates a foster to adopt program that places the intended adoptee with the potential adoptive family. This ensures that your feline companion is the perfect fit as well as provides support as you both transition into your new life together.
