My Story

Little Sara has it all going on-the looks, the personality, the snuggles! She is sweet, snuggly, playful and lovable. Sara's approximate birthdate is 3-22-24. Sara was found as an itty-bitty stray kitten in Aberdeen. The nice lady who found Sara brought her to the shelter so she could find a forever home. All MCSPCA kitties are tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) before they are put up for adoption. The test detects whether or not a cat has been exposed to FeLV. Sara’s test was positive, indicating that Sara had been exposed to the virus. Whenever we get a positive test for FeLV, we perform a second test that determines whether the cat has been infected with the virus. Sara had a negative result for this test, indicating that she has not been infected with FeLV. What these tests tell us together is that Sara was exposed to FeLV but could fight it off! Sara should be retested in 3-6 months to confirm she remains negative. Out of an abundance of caution, Sara should not go home to any other kitties at this time. Sara is a delightful little lady who would love make your home her forever home and  snuggle, play and cuddle with you every day.
