Sprout

Oh, Sprout. Ask any volunteer here at Paws and Claws, and you will find that there isn't a heart he hasn't managed to knead into putty and shape to his will. His number of adoring fans is only limited by the number of people who have met him, a fact he seems to accept without question. He loves everyone, so why wouldn't they love him back? No one has been able to argue yet. Back on Turkey Day 2023, however, we were not sure Sprout would survive the night. After a swift and steady decline from rambunctious kitten to listless and unwilling to eat, he was rushed in for emergency life-saving surgery. Though expensive and not guaranteed to work, nobody gave up on Sprout- including Sprout! Even in dire health, Sprout just wanted to love and be loved. As if we weren't already wrapped around his paw before, those who saw him like that can't help but feel extra smitten when we see him now- so happy and healthy, with so much love to give. Sprout is plenty spoiled here but so ready to have room to roam. And now that he is all better, we are ready for him to have that, too. Even if watching him go is going to be a tornado of happy-sad for many of us, it's time for baby boy to find his home.
