My Story

Affectionately named for his charming skill of walking while making biscuits, The Muffin Man is a unique and endearing kitten. He was one of the last remaining 3 stray cats of a colony we are actively working to trap, neuter, and re-home. Sadly, many cats in this colony tested positive for leukemia and had to be put down. The Muffin Man also tested positive, but there is hope for him as kittens can sometimes yield false positives. For the next two months, The Muffin Man needs to be isolated from other cats until we can retest him for an accurate result. During this period, we are not necessarily seeking a permanent adoption. However, as a rescue, keeping him isolated means he lacks the attention and love a kitten needs. While he entertains himself and we can hear his playful antics, Single Kitten Syndrome remains a concern. The Muffin Man yearns for human affection, often crawling up to you while making biscuits, though he hasn't yet let us pet him. He loves playing with his little toy mouse and enjoys ambushing your feet from under the bed. We are looking for a foster home where he can roam freely without the risk of spreading leukemia to other cats. Homes with dogs or other non-feline animals are suitable, as the disease does not transfer between species. The Muffin Man is otherwise healthy, litter box trained, and will be up to date on vaccines as his age allows. If you can provide a temporary, loving home for this delightful kitten, we would love to hear from you!
