Tophy

Very sweet and personable cat! Tophy is a Munchkin cat but he does have longer legs then what the breed is known for. He has a very thick/stout body and slightly shorter legs then the average house cat. He is already neutered and loves attention!! Tophy really needs a new forever home! He has been here for several months now...waiting...hoping someone will come and adopt him. Everyday people come to our shelter and Tophy looks at them with hope shining in his eyes...looking for his new person....Tophy reaches out from his cage trying to catch someones attention.... but the people just pass him by... they say stuff like....he is "just a black cat" ..... or he is too "old" and off they go to adopt a kitten. As the people leave with their new kitten....Tophy sighs and curls up with his back to his cage door .....dignified but sad and resigned to his fate... While we love having our kittens adopted here at the Shelter...It breaks our hearts to see the hope die in the eyes of our adult cats who are waiting patently for a chance to go home with someone. Some cats just plain give up and become unresponsive. When this happens we must make the hard decision and consider euthanasia....Please, someone out there come and meet Tophy and our other adult cats... Please lets not let the hope die in their eyes!!!! 7-28-09 UPDATE!!!
