ABBY NEEDS A FOSTER!!!!!

Ask us about sponsoring or fostering dogs like Abby!   Sponsors and fosters make it possible for us to rescue and care for homeless and abandoned dogs. Contact Yvonne at [email protected] to find out how you can help.

Name: Abby

Breed: Am. Bulldog Mix

Approximate Age:  approx. 10 weeks old

Approximate Weight: Will likely be around 50lbs full grown.

Currently Living at:  Temp Foster in North Carolia--Needs a local Foster!

We think Abby is a mix between an American Bulldog and Lab.  We're not exactly sure what they are mixed with and at this age, it is difficult to determine breed mix and size when full grown.   There is the possibility she is mixed with American Staffordshire Terrier, but we're told from the shelter, the mom was a cross between Bulldog/Boxer and Lab.

Abby is a typical active puppy!   She's playful, loves attention, and gives kisses to her litter mates (Ace, Abbott).  She also likes chewing on her toys!  She will arrive in the area the weekend of March 13, but we are accepting applications for her now!

Adopting a puppy is a huge responsibility!   Please be certain you have the time to commit to house-training, obedience training, and exercise.  As puppies mature, they require lots of exercise!   Don't forget the endless supply of chew toys during their teething stage.

Abby's adopters will be responsible for getting her spayed by July 15, 2010.*  She is young enough to learn to live with kids, other dogs, and cats.   It is very important for the adopter to enroll her in puppy obedience training to ensure she grows up to be a well-socialized dog.

The adoption fee for this dog is $325, which includes routine vetting up to the time of adoption, including age appropriate vaccinations and spay surgery.   *Spay surgery is included in the adoption fee providing the adopter goes to our partner vet in Kent Island, MD for the procedure.

Please download and complete an Adoption Application, then email the completed form to Yvonne @ [email protected] if you are interested in adopting.
